David AlsopSurname: Alsop Given Name: David Chef David Alsop is a graduate of Queen's University. He started his cooking career in Vancouver at the Quarry House (now Seasons in the Park). He returned east to attend George Brown College for the Culinary Arts, and then worked the circuit with stops at Scaramouche, Sous Chef at Toronto's landmark restuarnt Fentsons, Bistro Le Paraids and finally a five yar stint as Head Chef at Spinnakers Seafood Bistro at Queen's Quay. Returning west again, he opened Bistro! Bistro! in Vancouver's Gastown. David worked at the Sheraton Wall Centre Hotel in pastry, then as acting chef for Bridges upstairs, before finally landing at the Toronto Fresh Food Café, where he introduced the neighbourhood to his passion for cooking fresh, in season, local, organic produce. David's menus reflect his commitment to supporting the honest, responsible methods of organic growers and farmers in the region. |
