Tom Hakala

Tom Hakala is an experienced cyclist who has been exploring Owen Sound and the Bruce Peninsula for the past twenty years. He is an executive member of the Owen Sound Cycling Club. An avid skier - both cross-country and downhill - he can be found on skis from the first snowfall (in early November) to the last (in late April - early May).

Tom's two cycling books combine to reveal the unique secrets of the Bruce Peninsula district to local and visiting cyclists, and his book on skiing in the region profiles six downhill resorts and twenty-six cross-county opportunities.
